A few years ago, the world’s largest gem-quality tsavorite was discovered near Arusha, Tanzania. The uncut gemstone for thin small love bracelet with 6 diamonds was brought into the gemstone, weighing 185 grams, and was inspected by Dr. H. Hanni of the Swiss Gemological Institute.

It measures 42.11 mm x 36.46 mm x 28.34 mm and weighs 325.14 carats. It is still the largest and most valuable gem ever found in East Africa.
